"The Final Curtain" is the eighth episode of the thirteenth season of the Murdoch Mysteries and the one hundred ninety-fourth of the series. It first aired November 18, 2019.
Summary
An actor is killed during a play featuring John Brackenreid and attended by Murdoch, Ogden, Crabtree and John's parents.
Character Revelations
- The investigation reveals that John Brackenreid was having a tryst with a married woman – the murder victim.
- When asked about her sister Ruby, Julia replies that she hasn't heard from her in some time, "Off on another dramatic adventure, I'd imagine."
Continuity
- John Brackenreid is pursuing his career as an actor (ep.1218) performing in the play "The Final Curtain".
- George brings up the old case "The Convention of Inventors", but Murdoch doesn't see the similarities.
