"Sweet Amelia" is the twenty-second episode of the fifteenth season of Murdoch Mysteries and the two hundred thirty-seventh episode of the series (not including the three stand-alone holiday specials). It first aired on March 28, 2022.
Summary
When George Crabtree's mentally deranged kidnapper, Amelia, turns herself in, he braces for trouble.
Crabtree is shocked when Amelia Ernst, one of the deranged sisters who abducted him and tortured Effie, voluntarily turns herself in at Station House No. 4. Effie intends to make her face the full force of justice but is hobbled by a clever lawyer.
Murdoch takes leave to spend time with his new baby daughter, Susannah, while Margaret Brackenreid pursues her fugitive son Bobby, without anyone including her husband.

- A breach of promise to marry occurs when a person promises to marry another, and then backs out. In law, it is treated like a breach of contract.
