"Pendrick's Planetary Parlour" is the twentieth episode of the fifteenth season of Murdoch Mysteries and the two hundred thirty-fifth episode of the series (not including the three stand-alone holiday specials). It first aired on March 14, 2022.
Summary
Murdoch investigates after a murder is transmitted over James Pendrick's new invention.
Murdoch investigates when a mathematician participating in the demonstration of James Pendrick's new picture-transmitting communication device is killed at another location while a room full of investors watches in horror. Dazzled by Pendrick's technology, Crabtree rattles off myriad future uses for the invention that garner him a lucrative job offer from the entrepreneur.

- George Crabtree leaves Station House No. 4 to work with James Pendrick who loves George's enthusiasm and ideas which he is willing to implement.
Continuity
- At Scott's Diner, Effie encourages George to take up Pendrick's offer.
- In the end, George gets a promotion and the path to becoming a detective in the future is no longer closed to him (ep.901).

- This episode takes place in Toronto 1910 – George V is King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions, and Emperor of India, from 6 May 1910 until his death in 1936.
- Reference to the Cheshire Cat from Alice In Wonderland by Lewis Carroll (1865).
- Morse Code refers to either of two systems which represents letters of the alphabet, numerals, and punctuation marks by an arrangement of dots, dashes, and spaces. The two systems are the original “American” Morse Code (1830s by American artist and inventor Samuel F.B. Morse) and the later International Morse Code (1851), which became the global standard. The codes are transmitted as electrical pulses of varied lengths or analogous mechanical or visual signals, such as flashing lights.

- With the Pendrick Portal's "Face Space" and "Chat Space", this episode gives a nod not only to current social media technologies but all its implications, including the social engineering 419 flimflam, also known as the Nigerian prince scam (1980s) which is a variation on the centuries-old Spanish prisoner swindle, an advance-fee scam that emerged after the French Revolution (1789-1799).
- Pendrick's Quickiepedia – "...the knowledge of experts, available to all? And quickly..." is an allusion to wikipedia.
