Paul Haddad was born in Birmingham, England, on May 20, 1963 of Iranian descent. He was the eldest of three children. Haddad attended McGill University, where he studied acting. In 1988, he graduated from the National Theatre School of Canada, in Montreal, Quebec.

Haddad performed in the Stratford Theatre Festival in Stratford, Ontario for two years and voiced Uncle Arthur in Babar from 1989–1991 followed by other voice roles including Quads, Mythic Warriors, Cyberchase, Noddy, The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, Little Bear, The Magic School Bus, RoboRoach, Pearlie, Franny's Feet, The Adventures of Tintin and Rupert.


Paul Haddad is best known for voicing Leon S. Kennedy in the video game Resident Evil 2. Due to the popularity of his voice work in Resident Evil 2, Haddad was asked to voice a Cleaner in Daymare: 1998, a third-person survival horror shooter which paid a tribute to the genre during its time. His other television roles also include Night Heat, American Playhouse, X-Men, Free Willy, Any Mother's Son, American Bikers and Gloomius Maximus in Rolie Polie Olie

During 2019, Haddad had also been facing financial troubles while battling health issues which included throat cancer; The removable of the tumor on one of his vocal cords altered his voice.

Paul Haddad passed away on April 15th, 2020.
