Murdoch and the Cursed Caves[]
- Nelson Dunn is sitting inside the General Store with other regulars playing checkers when the two strangers, Murdoch and Ogden, return to send a telegram to the Provincial Detective's office in Gravenhurst and questions them about two young lads who were searching for the gateway to the Underworld – The Ekarenniondi.
- When Murdoch asks them about the Owens brothers who disappeared some 10 years ago, Nelson speaks up, "I remember the Owens. They were boasting of finding gold in the caves. They were trying to sell their claim for 100 dollars," but they disappeared before the claim was sold. "They had a nugget, but I never seen any in the caves. I figured they were lying. But some believed them."
