Character Revelations
- George Crabtree and Effie Newsome are in Newfoundland.
- Julia underwent Dr. Freud's talking cure when she was in Vienna and the talk was mostly about William.
- William Murdoch loosens his tie, sticks his hands in his pocket (possibly for the first time), and imitates Detective Watts in an unsuccessful attempt to disprove Dr. Freud's accurate analysis of him to Julia.
Continuity
- In 1900, Dr. Julia Ogden studied with Sigmund Freud in Austria (between Season 6 and 7).
- Station House No. 4 is a crime scene - again.

Trivia
- This is the "bottle episode" of the season. Bottle episodes are usually shot within built sets, frequently the main interior sets for a series, and restricted in scope to use as few regular cast members, with very little effects, thus saves on production costs. There is usually one per Murdoch Mysteries season.
- Recast actors Jeff Lillico first appeared on Murdoch Mysteries as Reginald Mayfair in Winston's Lost Night and Trevor Hayes first appeared in Murdoch Takes Manhattan.
