Mr. Sato is a tattooist introduced in Season 5 of Murdoch Mysteries, portrayed by Peter Kosaka.
Mr. Sato's shop is the only tattoo shop in Toronto and is situated a few doors from The Devil's Drum in the less than reputable district of 'Toronto-the-Good'.

- Mr. Sato remembers three session with the very unusual young woman. It was a painful session, but Miss Lucille Messing endured it without a whimper. She is his only female customer.
- The rose design is from a book she brought with her. Sato did not inquire why she might want that tattoo, "but people often employ my services to mark a significant milestone."
