- In Montreal, the Montreal Inspector informs Detective Murdoch that he can not help him as his city of half a million people can not spare an officer. When the Detective tells him that the Black Hand is involved, the Inspector retorts, "Then she is already dead," adding if he doesn't believe that then Murdoch's experience with the Black Hand is limited.
