- Maurice Majors arrives at the City Morgue to visit his daughter, crossing paths with the Detective Murdoch for the first time but it is not his first encounter with Inspector Brackenreid.
- After visiting his daughter's successful club, Maurice Majors wants it for himself and if Violet doesn't give it to him he will reveal her secret to everyone. Grabbing her by the shoulders, he threatens her, "...or everything you have will be gone when I tell your husband that you're already a married woman – Mrs. Meadows".
