Lost Companions and New Friends is the fourth episode of Murdoch Mysteries: The Curse of the Lost Pharaohs.

George describes how they abandon Clarissa in a lifeboat, trying to lose Sekhmet's henchmen, but they are soon spotted. In the stormy water, the enemy ship fires cannonballs at the small vessel, until one finally hits...

As George awakens, he finds himself in a comfortable room. A beautiful young woman arrives and explains he is in her room at the nurse's residence, due to a fire at the hospital.

George asks after his friends, but she tells him that he was the only one found on the shore. She tells him to stop talking, as she needs to care for him, and introduces herself as Sanura.

As George sleeps, his imagination ran wild with what could have happened to this friends. He is comforted by the fact that they can handle anything that came their way.

Sanura reads to George at his bedside, but he interrupts her, complimenting her and her accent, as well as highlighting how he must leave. Sanura explains her father was French, hence the accent, but also that he can't go. He stands, determined to complete their mission, even if it's on his own, when Sanura suddenly stands beside him, supporting him. The two have a moment, however Murdoch quickly interrupts.

Murdoch is ecstatic to see George alive and well, and tells him that Brackenreid and Julia have been captured. George immediately follows after him, giving a quiet thank you to Sanura.

As George and William go on, determined to rescue their friends, George muses about the enchanting Sanura as well as the merciless Sekhmet, who undoubtedly would harm Brackenreid and Julia.
