Leopold Romanow is one of Harry Houdini's assistants introduced in Season 2 of Murdoch Mysteries, portrayed by Joris Jarsky.

- Billed as his "brother," Leopold had contacted a plan with two other men to break into the bank and frame Houdini who was performing nearby. Leopold was greedy for the gold, and killed his fellow conspirators.
- However, Murdoch deduced the truth with help from Houdini, and they were able to catch Leopold before he made his getaway.
- Leopold is arrested and will likely hang (confirmed ep.511).
