Laurie Murdoch is a Canadian actor who was born on April 15th 1958 in New Westminster, British Columbia. Laurie is also the father of Lachlan Murdoch who plays Henry Higgins. Laurie is best known for his roles as Wilson Rogers in Spotlight (2015), Dr. Malloy in Dr. Cabbie (2014) and Abe Ford in Rookie Blue (2013).

Laurie currently acts at the Stratford Festival Theatre in the musical comedy show Guys and Dolls.


  • Mr. Murdoch's Neighbourhood is the first time that Laurie and Lachlan have ever appeared on screen together. Writer for the episode Carol Hay added in the part where Alvin and Higgins cross paths so that Laurie and Lachlan could have that scene together.
