Lauren Lee Smith is a Canadian TV and film actress.

Biography[]

Lauren was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, but moved to L.A. with her family when she was 14. While there, she started a modelling career.

Her first featured role was in the movie remake Get Carter. Other TV credits include roles on Dead Zone, The Twilight Zone, and Blade: The Series.

Lauren is well known for her roles as Riley Adams on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Sergeant Michelle McCluskey on The Listener. She is the latest from The Listener's main cast to guest star on Murdoch Mysteries.

Lauren’s most recent credits include Jeremy Lalonde’s comedy How to Plan an Orgy in a Small Town. Her next feature is a co-starring role opposite Michael Shannon in Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water.

Lauren was nominated for the 2017 Canadian Screen Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Maggie Lawson in CBC’s This Life.

In early 2017, Lauren Lee Smith lands the lead in the new CBC series Frankie Drake Mysteries (2017-21) and appears in the CBC Web Series Frankie Drake Mysteries Cold Case (with Detective Watts and Brackenreid from Murdoch Mysteries) prior to the new TV series' premiere episode airing on CBC, Nov. 6, 2017.

Lauren Lee Smith was married to German photographer Erik Steingröver on April 4, 2009.
