Lachlan Murdoch is a Canadian actor from Vancouver, British Columbia born on February 16th 1986. His father is actor Laurie Murdoch. He moved to Toronto in 2002 and Lachlan has been acting since 1992. Lachlan currently plays the reoccurring role of Henry Higgins. He has been a Murdoch Mysteries cast member since Season 1.
He originally auditioned for the role of George Crabtree but the producers liked him so much that they created the role of Higgins especially for him.
Lachlan's other appearances in TV and film include movies such as The Santa Clause (1994) and TV shows such as Stargate SG-1 and The X-Files.

- In the Season 11 Facebook Live lightning questions, Lachlan revealed that his favourite food to eat on set is a tuna fish sandwich, he prefers filming late into the night over getting up at the crack of dawn and thought that filming with the sling in the premiere was rather annoying.
