Charles Kristian Bonnycastle Bruun was born on October 25th and raised in Toronto. He attended Valley Forge Military Academy in Pennsylvania, Queen's University in Ontario and the George Brown Theater School in Toronto. He has lived and worked in Germany and the UK, and has performed in theaters across Canada. He has also trained extensively with David Rotenberg at the Professional Actors Lab.
Kristian is a dual citizen of Canada and Finland.
He had an ongoing role in Murdoch Mysteries, playing Constable Slugger Jackson in from seasons 6 through eleven. His most famous role has been in the award-winning Canadian science fiction series Orphan Black, playing Donnie Hendrix, the husband of one of the main characters, Alison Hendrix.
During the filming of Season 10 (2016), Bruun was busy on a shoot near Niagara Falls for his new movie Mary Goes Round, co-starring You’re the Worst actress Aya Cash.
Kristian Bruun lives in Los Angeles since 2017.
