Edward Chan is a prominent figure in Chinatown known for smuggling in refugees, introduced in Season 3 of Murdoch Mysteries, portrayed by Russell Yuen.

  • Edward is considered a possible suspect for the murder of a constable, as he had been in a fight with him the day before his death. However, Edward revealed to Murdoch that the policemen were corrupt, and often extorted money from the locals. He had been hit for refusing to pay.
  • Edward revealed a critical piece of the puzzle to Murdoch to who the killer really was, and though a man of ambiguous principles, he seemed a redeemable character.
