Dr. Watkins is a Toronto doctor who is notorious for mis-diagnosis in Season 1 of Murdoch Mysteries.

- Watkins was the doctor called to the Grand Theatre when Virgil Smart died. In fact, Smart's body had been switched with Edward Green's. Green had been strangled but Dr. Watkins concluded that the victim had died of a heart attack.
- Dr. Julia Ogden told Detective William Murdoch about the mis-diagnosis. She also told Murdoch that Dr. Watkins had died (sometime between May 1892 and 1895).
