"Do the Right Thing Part 2" is the second episode of the seventeenth season of Murdoch Mysteries and the two hundred sixty-fifth episode of the series (not including the three stand-alone holiday specials). It first aired on October 9, 2023.

Summary

Murdoch and Ogden have managed to exonerate the socialite convicted of killing her husband, but they have qualms about their actions. Brackenreid contends with an attack on Margaret, and Crabtree grapples with a murderous vigilante.

Their baby safe, Murdoch and Ogden plot revenge on the socialite murderer they exonerated.

• The late Arthur Carmichael's family sued for his fortune and the judge ruled in their favour, taking away Violet Hart's wealth. According to Effie, "She's lucky she didn't get jail time."
