“Diamonds in the Sand” is the second episode of the nineteenth season of Murdoch Mysteries and the three hundred eleventh episode not including the three stand-alone holiday specials of the series. It aired on October 13, 2025.
Summary
Inspector Choi is taken hostage in a roadside inn while transporting a criminal back to Toronto. The Crabtrees must make a difficult decision about their future when George gets a job offer.

- This episode takes place in Toronto 1913 – George V is King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions, and Emperor of India, from 6 May 1910 until his death in 1936.
- Cellophane was invented in 1908 by Swiss chemist Jacques Brandenberger (1872 – 1954), who was trying to create a waterproof coating for fabric.
