Ashmi is introduced in Season 10, played by Glenda Braganza.
James Pendrick introduces her to Murdoch and the Inspector as his assistant in Excitable Chap, "Always a woman, Tom."
Appearances and Mentions
Excitable Chap
- Ashmi gives information about what she knows of the murdered Sausage King and says to Brackenreid at that first meeting, "The way you are looking at me is both flattering and uncomfortable."
- She steals Pendrick’s formula for the fountain of youth and escapes to Panama to acquire the critical ingredient: the super guarana.
From Murdoch to Eternity
- Being caught out by Murdoch and Crabtree, Ashmi tells her story: She last saw Pendrick when he found her in Panama. He and the Inspector reclaimed the stolen formula. She stayed for a time but "could not regain James' trust." She returned to Canada some weeks ago. She wanted the additive because back in Panama she had heard "...tell of a man. Another who was after James' work. I'd hoped to sell it to him." She believe this man killed James for the formula. The man came from Asia "...or possibly the skies themselves. Some called him a god..." The man had no name, only a letter. They called him Senor Equis.
- Murdoch remembers the card from a Mr. X and now they have an address.
