Adam Gordon is first introduced as the son of Edna Bergman and nephew of Irving Moses in Season 10 of Murdoch Mysteries.

• He is discovered to be the long lost heir to the Gordon family estate. When Murdoch discovers a letter from his late uncle Irving Moses amongst his belongings, he presents Adam to his grandmother Adelia and stepbrother Jonah Foster. Though at first, Adam doesn't recognize Adelia, he recognizes Jonah and remembers how his stepbrother took him and gave him away to a man, presumably Moses.
• After Jonah is jailed, he admits to Murdoch that he hated Adam as a child and wanted to get rid of him and thus hiring Moses to do away with him.
• However, as Edna Bergman had told Murdoch earlier, her brother would never harm a child.
